WACDTF Annual Meeting Saturday, March 5th at 1pm

If you're a WACDTF member, please join us at our annual meeting:
Saturday, March 5, 2011, 1:00 p.m.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library
901 G Street, NW --  Room 221 (2nd Floor)
Washington, DC 20001
(202) 727-0321

Meeting information:

  • The annual meeting is open to everyone, but only WACDTF members may vote. You're a member if you've signed the WACDTF Goals & Guidelines (this includes anyone who has escorted or attended an escort training). We'll have copies of the G&G for you to sign if you aren't sure. It usually lasts no more than an hour. If you cannot attend we encourage you to mail us a proxy form (PDF file, 53K) by Monday, February 28, to help ensure a quorum and allow the person you designate to vote for elected positions in your absence. Below you will find a list of positions to be filled at the annual meeting. We encourage you to volunteer or nominate another person for any elected or appointed position by calling 202-797-6577 or e-mailing wacdtf@wacdtf.org. If you wish to volunteer or make a nomination ahead of time, please call or email by Monday, February 28. We will also accept nominations and volunteers at the meeting! New volunteers welcome!
  • The annual meeting is a great place to connect with volunteer opportunities that don't involve frozen feet. We'll also have clinic defense news updates, votes on any major issues, and the annual election. We welcome new volunteers for all positions!

Proxies apply only to the officer election, not to other agenda items. You must be present to participate in consensus. If you cannot attend, we welcome your comments by e-mail to wacdtf@wacdtf.org or mail to WACDTF, P.O. Box 21796, Washington, DC 20009; please mail by Monday, February 28. All written comments we receive will be shared at the meeting.

Elected and Appointed Positions

All WACDTF members are eligible and encouraged to volunteer or nominate others for any officer or team member position. WACDTF members elect officers at the Annual Meeting. The Steering Committee appoints committee coordinators by consensus at the time of the Annual Meeting and at other times as needed.

Training: arranges escort trainings and other trainings
